What's Included in a £999 Website?

A line-by-line breakdown of what a £999 fixed-fee UK website includes, what it does not, how long it takes and who it suits, with the Business Site option compared.

By Nerdster Design · 3 min read

Our £999 Starter Site includes five designed pages, a mobile-first build, a website assistant trained on your business, a contact form wired to your inbox with conversion tracking, core on-page SEO and one round of revisions. It is a fixed fee including VAT and goes live within 2 to 3 weeks. You own the design, code and content.

Because “a £999 website” can mean almost anything, here is exactly what that covers and what it does not.

What you get

  • Five designed pages: home, services, about, work and contact.
  • Mobile-first build. Most visitors arrive on a phone, so pages are designed for small screens first.
  • One clear enquiry path. The site is built around a single action, usually getting in touch, rather than competing buttons.
  • A website assistant trained on your services and business information, so common questions get answered at any hour.
  • Contact form wired to your inbox, with conversion tracking so you can see which visits turn into enquiries.
  • Core on-page SEO: page titles, descriptions, headings and structure so search engines and AI assistants can understand the site.
  • One round of revisions.
  • Ownership. The design, code and content are yours.

What you provide

The price assumes you supply the core facts about your business, your logo and approved images. The fastest launches come from owners who send these in one go.

What is not included

Being clear about the edges matters more than the headline price:

  • Copywriting. On the Starter Site you provide the core facts; we do not write extensive copy.
  • More than five pages.
  • E-commerce, booking systems or logins.
  • Ongoing hosting and support, which are separate.
  • Paid advertising or ongoing SEO.

The Business Site, for comparison

If you need more, the Business Site starts from £1,500 and runs to £2,500 including VAT. It adds 8 to 12 designed pages structured around how people buy, copy written for you from a short interview, a product or service showcase, brand basics, full on-page SEO, Google Business Profile setup, conversion tracking and two rounds of revisions. It goes live within 3 to 4 weeks.

Choose the Starter if you have a clear offer, know what to say and mainly need to look credible and receive enquiries.

Choose the Business Site if you want help with the words, have several services to explain or need to rank for more search terms.

After launch

Websites need hosting, updates and backups. Our Care Plan is £70 a month, rolling, and covers managed UK hosting and SSL, daily backups, updates, uptime monitoring and up to 30 minutes of content edits a month. See website support.

Why can it cost this little?

Fixed scope. Five pages, one enquiry path and one revision round mean no open-ended hours. The studio is small, the people who pitch are the people who build, and the process is deliberately simple. A narrow scope kept honest is cheaper than a broad scope kept vague.

Is it right for you?

It is a good fit for sole traders, local services and new businesses that need a professional site quickly. It is not designed for businesses needing a shop, a portal or complex functionality; for those, see web application development or e-commerce.
